Time to Relaunch Your Biz!

Does your business need a relaunch? Typically, a relaunch happens when a business changes directions, changes its brand, or creates a new product or service. However, these are untraditional times, to say the least. Few small biz owners found their way to success during the pandemic and many of you were forced to consider an entirely new way of doing business. Some of you put your heads down and waited for the waves to wash over you. Some of you hustled to stay afloat. Whatever you had to do to survive, we applaud you for hanging in there.

If you've been thinking of dipping those toes back in the water, we recommend going BIG! It's been a minute since your audience has really heard from you and it's time to make your presence known. It's time to relaunch your vision into the world and start making waves instead of riding them.

Build Your Presence

Whether you've got absolutely no online presence or simply got out of the swing of posting content online during the pandemic, it's time to put together a content strategy. You've been too quiet for too long. Your people need you! (And the algorithms have forgotten you.)

Now more than ever, people need what you have to offer and they can't find it if you are operating in dead silence. It's time to start creating content again for your website and social media channels. Not just any content either... content YOUR AUDIENCE ACTUALLY WANTS!

I hear your question already. Well, Abbey, what does my audience want? I don't know, silly. You need to ASK THEM. Start having conversations with the people on your client roster, your email list, on your social media feeds, and in your networking and community groups.

  • What content do they enjoy?
  • What would help them right now?
  • Do they prefer blogs, videos, social media?
  • What do they expect from a business like yours?

This is valuable market research, people! You can never go wrong by taking time to talk to your audience and spark conversation with folks. Plus, then you'll have a much better idea of what to create and share which will help you expand your audience and grow your business.

Build Your Network

We get it. It's been hard. And Zoom is awful. You miss your people (and they miss you).

Whether it's online, or you are ready to get back out in the world in person, pull your head out of the sand and start meeting people again.

  • Join a group (or two, or three). Whether it's a Facebook group or a new networking group in your area, participate in something new.
  • Sign up for an event. This may mean more Zoom but hiding isn't going to move the needle, friend.
  • Start talking to people again. Your business can't grow in isolation.
  • Find really interesting business owners in your area that inspire you and invite them to brainstorm a collaboration for this autumn.
  • Find other content creators such as business blogs, podcasts, radio shows, online summits, or video series and ask if you can guest blog or be interviewed.
  • If you can't find the right group, start one of your own.

We are going to see a swing back towards normalcy this summer. What you do now will better prepare you to make an impact once things open up again.

Build Your Brand

There's been quite a bit of thinking and re-imagining over the last year. What worked for many small businesses in 2019, may no longer be viable in 2021. If there is something bothering you, or just off, about your brand now is the time to adjust. It may be time for a re-brand. Talk to your audience and then sit down and reflect on the impact you want to make in the world going forward. Is your brand, website, and messaging ideal or do you need to tweak it to make it more effective?

Regardless of what you want to build right now, we are rooting for you, biz owner! We can't wait to see what you put out into the world. Keep inspiring those around you to do the hard work of making a difference. We believe in you!

If you aren't sure how to get from where you are right now, to where you want to be, call in an Assist! We can help you rebrand, introduce you to an amazing networking group, or help you take that vision you have for your content and make it a reality.
